About David Jessup

David Jessup is a fantasy artist with folk art allegiances. He works with animal bones, epoxy resins, discarded dolls, and action figures. He is influenced by the work of Adam Jones, Brothers Quay, H.R. Giger, and Todd McFarlane.

By being hospitable to decay and malfunction, he arrives at new faces and lives. He considers these creations his children. When beginning to make a new child, he will simply let the process
take over - - each figure comes into its own through improvisation.

He has a loose, expressive, and loving relationship with each new being. See one of David’s fascinating works in person at The Artisan's Collective Gallery in Dallas, TX, and you will see the physical marks of his heart and soul.
